¡Hola! (I'm trying to learn Spanish...for the umpteenth time)

Whoever came up with the idea of podcasting is a genius! The amount of unique podcast available today is mind blowing. One stat I read was that there is over 250,000 podcast on Itunes - and that was in 2013. via usatoday.com

For the music and audio nerd like myself there are a couple that are extremely valuable in my opinion. The first being Bobby Owsinski's Inner Circle. Bobby Owsinski for anyone that doesn't know is a veteran in the music industry. He is one of the top producer/engineers in the business. I have his books on my bookshelf and have taken his courses online. In his podcast he interviews engineers, composers and other professionals in the music industry.

The second podcast I only discovered a couple months ago. After discovering this podcast I went back and started listening from episode # 1 because it was just that good. On the Hit with Deane Ogden is an absolute gem and I'm so glad I found it. Deane Ogden is a sweetheart of a guy and interviews his guest in a relaxed and conversational style. It's not really an interview, it's kind of like we the listener are eavesdropping on Deane's conversation with the guest at a coffee shop and pick up valuable information from their discussion. It's informative as well as humorous and a must for anyone in the music business or anyone who wants to be in the music business. Deane also has another podcast that just launched called Rebel Creative that I'm really excited about as well.

The third podcast I listen to is Pro Tools Expert. If you use Pro Tools at all I suggest listening to this podcast. It's done very well and is very informative. The host are all professional engineers and answer questions and have discussion relating to Pro Tools, plug-ins, music and post production. They share tips, review gear and software as well as interview guest. Their website is packed full of content and it's updated regularly.

Those are my top three podcast related to audio and music. I also listen to business related podcast like Entreleadership. Entreleadership should be mandatory listening in any business or management course. Great interviews and information on how to run your business and EVERYONE is in business even if you are working for someone else. You are in the business of You. that last sentence was pretty profound. I didn't come up with it but I will take credit because I have no idea where I heard it :)

So now you know what I listen to if I'm not listening to music. Podcast links below.

Remember to make 2015 awesome.

Cheers!
