It's a digital world....

(originally March 10, 2013)

...and I'm a digital girl!

(was that corny????) Anyway, I really enjoyed attending the Digital Systems Training with the Kramer team a few weeks ago in Ft. Lauderdale.

Very educational and worth the time for sure. I have always loved Kramer products and find their stuff very reliable. And as a company they are dedicated to satisfying their customers. No they didn't pay me to say all that but if you're reading Kramer people "I'M LOOKING FOR SPONSORS!!" In all seriousness, the training was amazing and they did not skimp on the food! Check out the future dates and locations for the Digital Systems Training here And if you hold any Infocomm certifications they are giving 10 RU's for attending the class. The information taught in the training would benefit any AV professional in the installation field or live events. For myself, working in live events the section of EDID theory was particularly beneficial and has affected the way I work with displays. And my wish list of Kramer products now include:

  • VA-1VGAN Computer Graphics Video EDID Emulator

  • TP-125EDID Computer Graphics Video, Stereo Audio & Bidirectional RS−232 over Twisted Pair Transmitter with EDID

  • VS-41HC 4x1 HDMI Switcher

  • 840Hxl HDMI Video Test Pattern Generator

Here is a link to a free program for reading EDID information for PC

and for MAC

Cheers!

Just in case you didn't get the reference above about a digital world & a digital girl :)
