The V in AV

(originally posted February 13, 2013)

The V in AV stands for video if you didn't know. Sometimes I venture away from the console and touch some V (that sounds weird when you say it out loud).

PowerPoint operator/video switcher was my task for an event featuring Josh Malina from the show Scandal. I must admit I have never watched Scandal but Josh is a funny guy. One important part of working with V is knowing how to read. That may sound weird but going from working on A (audio) where I rely on my ears, to working on V where I have to really pay attention to a script and hit my cues or the effect is lost means I got to read. Good thing I passed the 6th grade : )
